FAQ

  • What types of classes or sessions do you offer?

We offer a variety of approaches including yoga flows, yin yoga, breathwork, mindfulness, and embodied/somatic healing. Some sessions are gentle and accessible for all levels; others may focus more on deep release or inner exploration.

  • Do I need to have prior yoga experience or be “fit” to join?

No, not at all. All our classes are designed to be inclusive. Beginners are welcome. Modifications, props, and support are provided so that you can feel safe and comfortable regardless of your experience level.

  • How do I book a class or session?

You can book directly through our website by navigating to the “Book Here” or “Classes / Events” page. If a class is full, you can be placed on a waitlist or get notified when another session is scheduled.

  • What should I bring, and what should I wear?

    - Bring your own yoga mat (if you have one)

    - Wear comfortable clothes that allow freedom of movement (e.g. stretchy, breathable fabrics)

    - You may also like to bring a water bottle, blanket, or block/strap if you use one

    - For outdoor classes (e.g. “Yoga by the Bay”), consider applying sunscreen or bringing a towel or extra layer depending on weather.

  • Are there in‑person classes only, or do you have online / virtual options?

Depending on scheduling and demand, we offer in‑person classes (e.g. at Edithvale Life Saving Club) and may offer online or hybrid classes. Please check the “Classes / Events” section to see what’s available at the moment.

1:1 private classes are also available. Get in touch via the contacts page to book.

  • What is “Mental Health Aware Yoga” and is it safe if I’m dealing with anxiety, trauma or mental health challenges?

Mental Health Aware Yoga is a framework where classes are planned with sensitivity to mental health.

The intention is not to “cure” mental health challenges but to offer a supportive, safe practice.

Modifications and pacing are used to ensure you can go at your own pace.

If you have any health conditions, physical injuries, or mental health concerns, please let the instructor know beforehand so we can guide you safely.
